One Tree Hill is an expression of tea with modern oriental roots in contemporary form. Founded in 2018 in Taipei, by a Singaporean Taiwanese couple, Yen Lim and Katia Kan, with a background in French patisserie, gastronomy and Chinese tea, they honed their culinary skills in Michelin establishments both in Singapore and Taipei in the likes of L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon and Restaurant André (former).
One Tree Hill is named in memory of Yen’s late grandmother, Madam Lee, an immigrant from Fujian China, a successful entrepreneur and investor in 1960s Singapore. One Tree Hill, a once rubber plantation turned luxury residential estate in Singapore, was where she made her first home. One Tree Hill is born out of our love for tea and a deep seated yearning to rediscover and reinterpret our Oriental spirit through tea.
We take pride in presenting a curated selection of artisanal tea each characterized by its unique terroir, oxidization, aging, season and roasting with modern French dessert techniques to showcase the possibilities and pleasures one can enjoy in a cup of Tea Dessert. Our savoir-faire is defined by our emphasis on quality, living in the beauty of the moment, and the value of hand made. Guided by our deep sensibilities toward creating our own space to showcase the finesse of our creations, to experience and savor the essence of tea with both style and substance.
